The short version

When AlightSpace shows you a piece of furniture, lighting or decor, the link that takes you to the retailer is often an affiliate link. If you buy something through it, we may earn a commission from that retailer.

You never pay more because of it. The price you see is the price you would get going to the retailer directly.

Why we do this

AlightSpace is free to start. Generating designs, hosting images and running the platform costs money, and affiliate commissions are part of how we cover that - alongside our paid design plans. It lets us keep the free tier genuinely free.

Where a share of it goes

A portion of the commission we earn funds the Happy Space Project, our programme redesigning homes for families who need them. Read more about Happy Space.

How products are chosen

This is the part that matters most, so we want to be direct about it.

Commission rates do not decide what we show you. Products in your designs are selected by our design team and matched to your room, your chosen style and your region. We do not rank products by what pays us best, and we do not accept payment from brands for placement in a design.

If a piece is right for your space and pays us nothing, we will still show it to you. If a piece pays well and looks wrong in your room, we will not.

• Product recommendations inside AI-generated designs and moodboards
• Saved project shopping lists
• Product and material schedules
• Editorial and educational content, where relevant

Who we work with

We partner with retailers directly and through affiliate networks including Awin, CJ Affiliate, Impact and Sovrn Commerce. Our retail partners span Nigeria, the wider African market, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe - we aim to show you products you can actually buy and receive where you live.

What we do not do

• We do not run coupon, cashback or discount-code schemes
• We do not operate price-comparison tables
• We do not use pop-ups, forced clicks or exit-intent adverts
• We do not sell placement in your designs
• We never take payment for a positive review or recommendation

Checkout and your data

Every purchase happens on the retailer's own website, not on AlightSpace. We never see or store your payment details.

When you click a product link, a tracking parameter tells the retailer the visit came from us. This is how commissions are recorded. It does not identify you personally to the retailer beyond what their own site collects. See our Cookies Policy and Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Your rights

Nothing here changes your consumer rights. Returns, refunds, warranties, delivery and product disputes are handled by the retailer you bought from, under their terms and the consumer protection law of your country. If a retailer we have recommended lets you down, tell us - it affects whether we keep working with them.
